CW's Ranking of Spinners (Tests)

I can't pick Briggs or Peel now despite their worthiness - I've been avoiding 19th century players in all these lists (as have most people, I think) and if they were going to make the list I reckon it should have been before now. Picking either of them now would seem weird.

So with that in mind, I'm happy to give L&L rewards for his tenacity and get on the Wardle train.

It's been over 60 hours since the last vote for the 24th slot in this list and the results read:
Wardle 8
Briggs 3
MacGill 1

While I suspect there was a large sympathy element (for me, not JW) I can add Johnny Wardle the list.
The List
1. Muttiah Muralitharan
2. Shane Warne
3. Bill O'Reilly
4. Jim Laker
5. Clarrie Grimmett
6. Hedley Verity
7. Hugh Tayfield
8. Anil Kumble
9. Derek Underwood
10. Lance Gibbs
11. Ravichandran Ashwin
12. Richie Benaud
13. Rangana Herath
14. Bhagwath Chandrasekhar
15. Bishen Bedi
16. Nathan Lyon
17. Saqlain Mushtaq
18. Graeme Swann
19. Ravindra Jadeja
20. Subhash Gupte
21. Hugh Trumble
22. Wilfred Rhodes
23. Colin Blythe
24. Johnny Wardle

Voting for the 25th and final position is now open.

Am I right that there is still no Sonny Ramadhin? In that case, Sonny Ramadhin!

And my regular reminder that my non-votes for Briggs (and Peel) aren't because I don't think they're good enough, but to keep consistency with my no-19th-century-players trend across all these lists.

I was going to vote for MacGill, but Sonny R instead.

I wonder what Simon Harmer could have achieved if playing tests rather than being a Kolpak.

This was going to be the final spot but, following @bagapath 's request and the obvious quality of candidates still available, we will extend this for at least 5 more spots.

Voting is now open for the 26th spot on our spinners' list.
