CW's Ranking of All-Rounders (Tests)

Line and Length

Cricketer Of The Year
Bit of a stretch voting him in at this stage, he’s more of a batsman who was a useful 5th or 6th bowler more in the Hammond mold than a true all rounder..
Fair enough. My vote stands but I'll overlook him in future voting rounds. As a matter of interest, my other choice was Tony Greg (batting @40; bowling @32 and 2.4 wpm). Thoughts before I place votes in his direction in the future.

Personally can't understand Shakib ahead of Kapil

I've come around on the Hadlee thing, his batting was just a nice to have, sorta like Pollock's.

Eh both carrying their teams on their backs, Shakib a better batsman, and their bowling is quite comparable, especially considering the whole pace vs spin thing. One of only 3 blokes (the other 2 having already been picked) to score a century and take 10 wickets in a match. I’d say he’s at least a top 3 batsman and bowler for his side all time as well, pretty crazy.

Kapil is the much better bowler - easily. Just that Shakib's the better batsman by an even more comprehensive margin.

Shakib has more amazing bat+ball in the same test performances than almost anyone in this list bar Botham. I would still have Kapil a bit higher but unexpectedly pleasant to see I'm not fighting a lone battle for Shakib on CW anymore.
