Oh, brilliant.

Time to celebrate in style!
Well played everyone! Unreal game, went well into the 6th day.... unreal length of time to play such intense cricket for!

Well played blacks, well played blues!

Haha. That finish has an uncanny similarity to another one I saw last year some time...

Nevertheless, amazing effort to beat the Blacks given how much they dominated the regular season. Not to mention winning our last three games to make the final in the first place from fourth place. Camps' innings was the decisive knock in the end, but all our bowlers contributed to defending a chasable total.

That's the double. :D

We win! Nathan 'Kasper' Hoy the final wicket to fall. Brilliant stuff Blues, amazing match that. :) A lot of great performances in that match and throughout the season. I must admit it was hard to see us winning the double after our poor start to the season, but the way we've come back has been nothing short of incredible. Yay. :)

Thanks for the game though Black, 'twas worthy of a final.

Remniscent of the tour of the West Indies, Neil Pickup is kneeling at the non-striker's end staring at the pitch. Meanwhile Sean Fuller comes around and pats him on his back, then heads to the team huddle where the celebration is intense. The fans have rushed onto the ground to greet their heroes... and the Black players too.

Wonderful sights here at the Cricket Web Oval after one of the greatest Dev League finals we've ever seen.

Absolutely gutted to see it end like that.

Dropped catches cost us throughout the game - and Liam's second innings knock was utterly crucial. Brilliant effort - as good as Buts' spectacular return from the grade arena. Such a hollow, hollow feeling to come up short, but Blue have ended to season absolutely fantastically.

Next time we get to an ODI final, I'm going to hypnotise Liam and convince him he's playing for Blue.

Brilliant stuff blues!

And good to see that I finally performed and hit 53 in the first innings - turned out to be pretty useful.

I won't say anymore. I've learnt my lesson.

edit: OFF 230 BALLS? What was I thinking?

Well done to Blue, really stepped up this season when it counted. Black are a bit unlikely as they were the best in FC all season, but 'dropped' off, so to speak at the final hurdle. I guess they have the championship though.

Bit of a reversal of us last year IIRC.

Well played Black, a great great game to be involved in and played in almost the right spirit (looking at you Pickup :p) and a fitting finale to a gripping season.

"Cricket was the real winner". :)
