Well only Pickup and Camps have crossed 50 ODI wickets thus far, with John "Eddie" Sanders finishing at 49. I suspect Pickup got there faster than I did. Not sure how quickly that was though. I'll have to research that later. Someone remind me please.
IIRC I was something silly like second-fastest spinner to 100 ODI wickets, which would be 58/59 ODIs - so I'll be close-ish.

Congrats guys! Comprehensive win. Great performances from Fuller, Goff, Hoy, Patrick, Robbins and Pickup :) Camps bowled tight as well and Halsey = unlucky?
Thanks mate. I thought I did a great job with that beer on the couch too.

He's that good hey, not even in the 15-man squad, still puts in a BoG performance.

Bahahaha, oh what a shocker. I should've said Markus. I may not live this one down.

But yeah, Markus = big innings. Bigger than his name...

Actually, you now have 7. Would you like the ICC to dock 2 of them?
Mad! Haha, please no, even if they`re against the might of the Netherlands, Zimbabwe etc, I`ll take `em all.

*conveniently forgets baptism of fire against the Windies*

We`re in fantastic form heading towards the Super Eights. Markus for president.

CW XI vs Sri Lanka

Teams:

Code:
CW XI Sri Lanka
Markus Jayasuriya
Camps Atapattu
*Goff +Sangakkara
Butler *M Jayawardene
de Silva	Tharanga
Robbins Dilshan
+Chaulk Arnold
Halsey Vaas
Hoy Fernando
Patrick Muralitharan
Pickup Malinga
Sri Lanka have opted for Fernando over Bandara, as the CW Oval is a very true surface but seems to offer plenty of bounce for fast bowling today. Meanwhile, the CW XI is as usual unchanged but for cosmetic batting order rearrangements.

Jayawardene calls heads...and has won the toss.

Mahela: "We want to play to our strengths, and it looks a good surface today. We will bat."

Sri Lanka innings:

Extras (8b, 7w, 3lb, 1nb) 19
Total (for 7 wickets, 40.5 overs) 147

Hoy 6-0-11-0
Patrick 5-1-13-0
Camps 9.5-1-37-2
Robbins 5-0-19-0
Pickup 10-0-35-3
Halsey 5-0-21-1
0.1 Hoy to Jayasuriya, no run, fast delivery outside the off stump, tempting but Jayasuriya doesn't quite get to that
0.6 Hoy to Atapattu, no run, good opening over ends with Atapattu being beaten outside off, only the one run conceded
1.6 Patrick to Jayasuriya, no run, and again! bowled to perfection an inch outside off and on a length, batsman caught in two minds, Patrick completes a maiden over!
2.3 Hoy to Atapattu, four byes, too clever by half there, inswinger whizzes past leg stump, and past a diving Chaulk for four to fine leg
2.4 Hoy to Atapattu, wide, again down leg, extras rapidly moving towards the highest scorer here
3.3 Patrick to Jayasuriya, one run, bat on ball for a change, a quickly run single as Atapattu dives home
4.6 Hoy to Atapattu, no run, Sri Lankan batsman beaten again, still on nil after 15 deliveries
5.4 Patrick to Atapattu, one run, that's the second successive single, can the scorer keep up?
7.2 Patrick to Jayasuriya, FOUR, Jayasuriya for once connects with the attempted booming drive, goes past Goff at mid on who had no chance to stop that, slightly ironic applause from the Oval crowd
8.6 Hoy to Atapattu, no run, Hoy has really had the wood over Atapattu so far, lightning quick delivery that swung away from the batsman and Atapattu has no answer
9.4 Patrick to Atapattu, four wides, oh dear, Patrick slips in his run-up and drags this one well wide, no chance for anyone to stop that, wides instead of byes this time
10.3 Hoy to Jayasuriya, two runs, fine drive, Jayasuriya finally starting to settle in here
11.6 Camps to Jayasuriya, no run, spoke too soon! a fine display of seam movement from Camps as he completes the second maiden of the match
12.1 Robbins to Atapattu, one run, a rare run, the slower deliveries of Robbins seemed to suit him more and he was in control of that dab into the leg side
13.1 Camps to Jayasuriya, three runs, well fielded by Halsey in the deep, Sri Lanka have no wickets down after all, they could come back strongly here
14.6 Robbins to Atapattu, one run, fielding restrictions are over with, not that we noticed with a solitary boundary, probably the seam bowling as well, Robbins has not looked very sharp out there
Pickup on for Camps
15.1 Pickup to Atapattu, one run, dabbed into the leg side
15.2 Pickup to Jayasuriya, OUT, attempted sweep goes all wrong from Jayasuriya, balloons up for a very easy return catch, Pickup poaches the ball cleanly and the Webheads are starting to assert dominance

Code:
ST Jayasuriya c & b Pickup 23 (51b, 1x4)
FoW: 40/1
15.6 Pickup to Sangakkara, no run, googly, Sangakkara beaten comprehensively, cleanly gathered by Chaulk
16.4 Halsey to Sangakkara, OUT, that lasted long! Another caught and bowled off a leg-spinner, this time a top edge to an attempted drive, right decision to bring the spinners on it seems, could maybe have been done earlier?

Code:
KC Sangakkara c & b Halsey 0 (6b)
FoW: 41/2
17.3 Pickup to Jayawardene, two runs, Jayawardene is a master of spin, gently flicked down leg for an easy two
18.4 Halsey to Jayawardene, FOUR, fine cover drive and Jayawardene is fighting back, he's on nine off eight balls, Atapattu has faced 47 balls and is yet to make more than 11...
20.2 Halsey to Atapattu, two runs, starting to open up somewhat here, sliced through to third man, stops in the outfield and picked up by a fielder in time
22.1 Halsey to Atapattu, three runs, Halsey drops it short and Atapattu pulls, nearly goes to the boundary but well stopped
23.2 Pickup to Atapattu, OUT, breakthrough! Atapattu attempts the sweep shot, you just don't do that off Pickup today, he's been beaten on a couple of occasions and the ball now thumps into the pad, three down

Code:
MS Atapattu lbw b Pickup 19 (59b)
FoW: 67/3
23.3 Pickup to Tharanga, one run, off the mark with a well-struck single
24.6 Halsey to Tharanga, FOUR, bit of a gift outside the off stump there, the batsmen wresting control again
25.6 Pickup to Tharanga, SIX, huge! pulled through midwicket, over all the fielders and into the hands of a thankful Nixonstown Primary pupil
Camps brought back for Halsey
26.1 Camps to Jayawardene, no run, cautiously dabbed into the off side
28.4 Camps to Tharanga, FOUR, beautiful cover drive, Tharanga looks settled and assured in everything he does at present
28.5 Camps to Tharanga, FOUR, Camps tries the bouncer and it's hooked through square leg, one-bounce four
28.6 Camps to Tharanga, OUT, Camps tries the yorker and it's driven...no, it's not, it's gone straight through the gap and into middle stump! Tharanga's cameo comes to an end, CW firmly on top here

Code:
WU Tharanga b Camps 21 (18b)
FoW: 96/4
Robbins back for Pickup

29.1 Robbins to Jayawardene, no run, ooh! quick delivery from Robbins, Jayawardene takes a step back but the ball nips into the pad before going just over the stumps, well gathered, an appeal but never near it
32.6 Camps to Jayawardene, no run, fifth successive dot ball, Jayawardene seems content to play the role Atapattu played earlier, not really that good a delivery but Jayawardene does not want to touch it
33.6 Robbins to Dilshan, three runs, well driven away and Dilshan cashes in a few welcome runs
34.2 Camps to Dilshan, OUT, captain holds the catch! fine delivery by Camps, quick and full outside the off and swinging away a tad, Dilshan drives but gets a bottom edge and Goff at mid off runs in to hold an excellent catch

Code:
TM Dilshan c Goff b Camps 10 (17b)
FoW: 114/5
Pickup comes back for Robbins

35.6 Pickup to Arnold, no run, drives hard, flies off the outside edge, Patrick tries to get his hands to that one but it's too hard for him, Arnold survives, could come back to haunt the Webheads as Arnold is a fine finisher
36.2 Camps to Arnold, four byes, poor delivery, interestingly not called wides, still escapes Chaulk and more byes, extras column threating Jayawardene at present
38.6 Camps to Arnold, FOUR, driven away well, straight and beats the fielder at mid off, boundary
39.3 Pickup to Arnold, OUT, takes it in his own hands! another return catch off an attempted sweep, Pickup grabs his third wicket, truly having a sensational tournament so far

Code:
R Arnold c & b Pickup 10 (15b, 1x4)
FoW: 144/6
40.5 Camps to Vaas, OUT, not well hit by the Sri Lankan almost-allrounder, bounces off the seam before taking out off stump, Camps has his third wicket

Code:
WPUJC Vaas b Camps 0 (3b)
FoW: 147/7

Malinga to go wicketless for 50+ runs.

*waits for Malinga to dismiss Camps and the hilarity than ensues*

Gonna have to catch some shut-eye, but things are looking good, despite Pickup`s blunder. Up the XI.

Oi, shut it eleven. And just ignore what the children on the boundary are saying to you, they can't really come and hurt you.

It doesn`t help that my beautiful golden locks block out any possible chance of viewing their inevitable attack.
