Definitely - I was surprised to see some household names missing. Does the 50 have a quota for batsmen / fast bowlers / leg-spinners etc. or is just the 50 best individuals who have played the game (regardless of position)?
The latter.

50 best individuals who played the game we love.

Look for CW50 X X X X on this forum and you will find more information.

The normal awards that everyone else has
Still a stack of Top 50 great players left. Wondering who will blink first and cause a feeding frenzy?
Haha! Your vested interest is that we now all pick from the list, innit?

That's me, subtle as a sledge hammer.

Can't deny though that there's still loads of greats just waiting for someone else to pick just before you do. So don't miss-out or you'll end-up feel miserable with your day in ruins and half a bottle of scotch drained to the sound of Barry Manilow.

(which interpreted means - I'm going to be struggling)

Looking forward to seeing if Brett Lee features first in this thread or the CW50 Albums one..

Cricket, Lovely Cricket
There are around 1289 points for the 50 cricketers, All of us combined sum upto around 850. It means we can't select all the 50 players which is great IMO.

The best team will be a combination of top selections from CWTop50 and outside of them. Makes it very interesting.

Total points between those 50 players = 1291
Total starting budget with 13 drafters = 858

Hmm...
Yeah.

So which 20 points plus legend will miss out?
Those who are perceived to be overpriced compared to their value. I think high ranked pure batsmen and pure bowlers might remain unclaimed.

I have been thinking about what should have been the ideal number of drafter and ideal budget for this draft. May be I would do it slightly different if I did it again.
