Davidson's record should really be enough to get him into the top 25; any bowler with nigh on 200 wickets at less than 21 apiece really needs no further recommendation, surely? Miller bowled less towards the end of his career (he was neary 37 and crippled with back problems when he took his final bow), but his all-round exploits shouldn't obscure the fact he had been a great bowler in his own right.

People like Neil Adcock and Johnny Wardle deserve consideration.
Indeed so. Wardle very unlucky to have his career co-incide with Laker & Lock; his record stands comparison to both of theirs and was argubaly the more versatile bowler than either, bowling orth(o)dox SLA and chinamen too.
