I was in tears some of the times they'd abuse us and we'd just laugh and some middle-aged Yank would say they would find out where we lived and sort us out.

Hah, same here. It was great fun playing with a few mates and then hear one of the other players' mums asking if they want a salad for lunch or something. When we heard that, that match was over for us, as we simultaneously burst into laughter.
