Stoked at getting another contract. I feel I'm really starting to find my feet in the International arena.

Playing more than 4 ODIs might help.Slats4ever said:what does one have to do
Good argument, but given that one of the secondary contracted players hasn't even been in any CW squad yet, and never really shone in any form of the game...Mr Mxyzptlk said:Playing more than 4 ODIs might help.
That player is extremely likely to become a permanent part of the Test team soon. In ODIs there's far more competition.Samuel_Vimes said:Good argument, but given that one of the secondary contracted players hasn't even been in any CW squad yet, and never really shone in any form of the game...
who said i complained.. complaining would involve me saying that's stupid why didn't i get in? I was just asking what one has to do to get into the side. Liam's answer was appropriate as it kinda told me why.Mister Wright said:Keep performing and not complaign.

i havent played a test yet, so does that mean all our 11 players fromt he alst test where right handers???age_master said:thats probably why we are losing so many tests, not enough left handers in the lineup
Pete plays as a specialist batsman a lot of the time these days...ash chaulk said:im proud to still have my contract aswell..... but 3 outta 15 are keepers :O
You point out in the other thread that "the selectors dont make the tough calls when they should. very rarely do under performing players get dropped" and then you're surprised when you're not dropped?broncoman said:im also somewhat surprised to have held onto my contract...
Mr Mxyzptlk said:Those with secondary contracts will be watched by selectors and play as much Dev League cricket as is possible.
The CWBCC does however reserve the right to terminate any contract on the basis of disciplinary action or constant injury. Please note that players not given contracts are still eligible for selection.

The centrally contracted players will be carefully managed by the CWBCC and the amount of non-international cricket played will be regulated to avoid major injury. Any contracted player wishing to participate in County Cricket or Grade Cricket or otherwise during the offseason must apply for and receive a permit from the CWBCC.
The discussions of the squad have already begun. It will like be at the end of the first week of Dev cricket.Robertinho said:When's the next international series?
It is bold considering the rules the committee have made on rookie selections (when a season like Cunningham's isn't deemed enough for a call-up to the XI, then the Colts will sweep the whole thing if they've got some of them in the selection mix at the end of the season)Mister Wright said:Very pleased to have my contract renewed. I know it is early and a bold prediction, but I think some of the Colts members will be pushing for selection come seasons end.
