CW chooses the second greatest batsman ever redux, 100 men from 5 eras whittled to 1

Code for picking your favourites to go against the grain. Clive Lloyd a few heats back for example. Or nearly every vote you made in those big knock-out threads. I don't care but don't be hypocritical
Do you think I'm trying to get Lloyd up there in my ratings for some ulterior motive? Why exactly do you think he is not a great enough batsman? I've made unlikely picks for batsmen I think are underrated, doesn't mean I think those that others picked are not worthy.

Look dude you gave Jimmy **** about a left field pick nobody makes more of them you. That's the issue

I didn't give him ****. I just posted that I didn't think Kane > Younis. It's his opinion. Why does it have to be personal?

What's the point of these "greatest ever" threads if there is no back and forth? It's not like this is some objective method of picking players.

I think they are saying that you fine-tuned your methodology to drive your favourite players as high as possible - and as a side-effect Clive Lloyd also went very high in the rankings. It's a fair criticism, and you should reply outlining why Lloyd is higher than some others.

Ewww, Kallis.

Will be remembered as the Ken Barrington of this generation. The future equivalent of the stats nerds who rate him on here will look back and wonder why he's not mentioned the top echelon of players. Memo: it's because he put people to sleep and would rather score a ton in a losing side than a duck in a winning one.

feel like most of the top players would secretly also prefer the ton to the duck in your scenario. the players have bills to pay and its individual performances that keep them in the tema
