Again either side can challenge, though the buck stops with the home team. You'll have to stay on top of things this week, as I'm not in the office after tomorrow, so I won't b around to remind you.

True. Very very true.

Speaking from Hattrick, which I played long enough to go through two cycles of team-building, there's just nothing like the first time. The first crop of players you nurtured, the first (not-so-)superstars you bought. It'll be with great sadness that I retire any one of my super seven first-batch trainees.
Interesting. I'm in my 15th season of Hattrick. I've got 5 guys in my squad with 100+ games. The great Barak Barda with a staggering 266, just. These guys are important. Without them I do suspect that my side would lose its soul. I try and have at least half of my squad having spent at least 3 seasons with the club. If you don't know you players that well, ie, they're new, and you're not that used to them being on the side, it can be strange for a bit, like an awkward social interaction where no one knows quite what to say next. Over the past 2 seasons I've retired two long serving players in James Mackenzie and Ismael Vidal. I wonder when the likes of Barda, Zuev and McIntosh go, will things ever be the same. Hopefully new love affairs will develop. I like to think that in the days once Duggan is gone, new loves will appear, like Grady Allison, the Battrick player, that is.

As for Battrick. Duggan sits on 199 one day matches for Whenuapai Cricket Club. He is now 26 and in his 10th season for the club. The club is sitting on a kitty of 58 million pounds. Before long, I'm going to begin umming and ahing over whether or not it's time for the great man to leave. I want to maintain this cash for a while though. Not sure what I will do just yet.

I would look at spending the money soonish, Nibbs. At the moment the market seems to be a buyer's one and you could find some good deals. That said, I can't vouch that prices will rise again but I'd say it's a safe bet...

Looking to be a good game away against the Magical Ponies. Canning proving to be no great shakes with the ball, only taking 1-47. Potgieter proving to be the pick of the bowlers with 1-26.

Still, 252-5 is looking about 30-40 runs short of the target I'd like to set, given Candy's batting line up. Need to get a couple of early breakthroughs here.

Last Wicket: Shaw b. Wilde 0 (FOW: 19/1)

Bowling was ****, couldn't buy a wicket. And I lost Shaw early which had me a bit worried - my team sucks in friendlies - but these two are doing well now. I just need them to stay in till at least the 40th over because the batting gets thin after this.

No early breakthroughs, but Burger and Hurren dismissed. Two wickets away from the tail. Terry the key here, one feels.

Gah, not happy atm. Wake up to the SA-Aus game, and then see that Burger's out and we're needing over 6 an over. Still can do it, will just need a cameo from Canning, hopefully he's not too tired.

As I said, two wickets required. If I give Terry, Tedstone and Canning too much time at the crease, I have no chance.

Griffin's a better bat than Tedstone tbh, so not too bothered at Tedstone going now, as long as Canning can hang around for a bit.
