Lillee.

Simply a better wicket-taker and Ambrose doesn't have an advantage over him in terms of conditions where they succeeded.

McGrath: 2.31 WPI
Lillee: 2.68 WPI
Interesting. But we can't really expect Ambrose or McGrath to take wickets at the same rate as Lillee. They had other decent bowlers to contend with. For Glenn:Warne and Gillespie. For Ambrose: Marshall, Walsh and occasionally Bishop. Lillee never had a constant foil the same way McGrath had Warne or Ambrose had with Walsh.

Lillee had a great action before he got injured. Probably had greater variations than Ambrose, but he didnt play many matches
outside Oz and England. Ambrose was effective everywhere he played especially in England Oz and Windies although like Lillee
he never played in India. Ambrose was scary to the end, whereas Lillee wasnt the same speed merchant after he injured his back.
