Cricket Web: All-Time Legend
Well this thread will host all 5 rounds, which will all go for 2 days each. The bracket is found below:
Second best ever batsmen - Challonge
This is for second best batsmen after Bradman, ever. Include any and all forms of cricket you wish to include, from FC to Tests to ODI. Use all the typical factors people consider when deciding a question like this eg Batting stats, technique, longevity, quality of opposition, other intangibles(someone mentioned in the other thread that Grace invented a ton of shots), etc etc. If you think stats are more important than techique or originality, than vote accordingly. If you think the longer format means more than the shorter format, vote accordingly
Don't give me too much crap about the seeds. I tried to balance it based on general the CW opinion I've picked up in my short time here, as well as typical opinions found amonst cricket fans IRL. This bracket site wanted me to seed all 32 names or none(and I wasn't going to have it completely random) and after the first 10 or so it got a little hazy but I tried my best.
Now these are the matches, Round 1 has 16 matches so I know it's bit of an ask to vote 16 times, but it'll get easier each time. Just copy n paste this list and delete the name you don't want to vote for I guess.
ROUND 1
Garry Sobers vs Virender Sehwag
Barry Richards vs Everton Weekes
George Headley vs Clyde Walcott
Graeme Pollock vs KS Ranjitsinhji
Sachin Tendulkar vs Ken Barrington
Kumar Sangakkara vs Jacques Kallis
Brian Lara vs Allan Border
Greg Chappell vs Frank Worrell
Jack Hobbs vs Rohan Kanhai
Victor Trumper vs Steve Waugh
Wally Hammond vs Younis Khan
Sunil Gavaskar vs AB De Villiers
Viv Richards vs Neil Harvey
WG Grace vs Rahul Dravid
Len Hutton vs Herbert Sutcliffe
Ricky Ponting vs Javed Miandad
So, voting will last for 2 days starting from nnnnnow.
