HMMM GREAT LOL

TN First up. Should be a great time for the boys. Hopefully we can put in a good fight and show them that us div fivions can actually hold a bat and throw a ball. Should be an exciting match.
Yepp looking forward to it! If your bowlers really turn up then you should win... my bowling has left alot to be desired this year. Depends on the depth and/or strength of your batting though, but if it's strong or you bat deep you should win it. The only thing that will win it for me will be my batting.

A reminder to all WCC managers that there is prize money associated with this year's Cup.
Marc I'm just wondering on the prize money? Can you release it?

Will the cup have too much moeny on it, as I think it will? I just hope div 1 OD and 4D are worth more money than some 60 over cup. If they aren't then oh well.. but I'd really like to see prize money somewhere.

If you can't show us anything, will prize money have a pretty big impact? Or will it be just a small sort of benefit. I'm hoping it will be able to really help teams out, as it should. If you think about how much money West Ham got just for being promoted to the Premier League and stuff. Also which places will get prize money? Everyone in the division, with the last getting minimal amounts? Or just the top 3, or maybe even the top 2?

Eyes not spreadsheets
Prize money is in the process of being finished off as we speak, but as a broad outline, it shouldn't be too major compared to sponsorship income, and it should only be awarded for the top 3 spots in each division, with top divisions getting more money.

As a general rule, it is likely that winning the cup will be worth about the same as winning Division 1.

1st automatically gains promotion whilst 2nd place plays off with the runner-up of the division above for promotion...

Doesn't the second placed side (in the division below) play off with the second last (5th) side of the division above?

Ok to clear it up...

Division 2
1st - Auto Promotion
2nd - Playoff with Division 1 5th place for promotion
3rd - Stays in D2
4th - " "
5th - Playoff with Division 3 2nd place to avoid relegation
6th - Auto relegation

In the playoff games the team in the lower division MUST win to gain promotion, any other result and the team in the higher division will remain there...
For example:
Division 2 5th place vs Division 3 2nd place - Result D2-5th win(Both teams stay in current divisions)
Division 2 5th place vs Division 3 2nd place - Result D3-2nd win(D3-2nd Promoted, D2-5th Relegated)
Division 2 5th place vs Division 3 2nd place - Result Draw(Both teams stay in current divisions)

Hope this helps

Will the scores be put up on that news thingy on the website or will we just have to keep looking in this thread for the scores?
