Cricket's worst captaincy decisions

Moss

International Captain
England's 1993 tour of India had it's fair share of bad decision making from Gooch and co, though how much of it was Gooch alone I'm not sure. There was the decision to leave out David Gower and Jack Russell from the tour party, electing to play 4 fast bowlers (Lewis, DeFreitas, Malcolm, Jarvis I think it was) in the Eden Gardens test and not playing Tufnell where India picked 3 spinners, relying on Keith Fletcher's assessment that Kumble "barely turns the ball and won'tbe a threat", and not picking Atherton till the third test. Pick of the lot was probably Gooch's dinner choice of prawns the night before the Chepauk test.
