This year in grade cricket it has apparently become a thing to refer to an over as a 'set' as in 'great set mate'. Never heard it prior. I hate it.

Really? That was going around in the 90s.

Also, sounds like Michael Slater is genuinely spiraling right now. Refused bail on a breach of AVO. Courts don't look kindly on that sort of thing. I'd be surprised if he spends Xmas on the outside.

I first heard an over being referred to as a 'set' while playing a friendly game at HKCC a few years ago. Never heard it before that. Either because I'd never played a game with so many gwai los before, or because I'd never bowled a good 'set' till that point. Both equally likely tbh.
