Probably Barbados if they do it like that, outside chance of Trinidad and Tobago. But if there's a qualifying tournament and they don't take it seriously we can't rule out them both ending up turned over by Canada.

Think there will be two spots for Asia since the IOC will be hoping for an India v Pakistan match and the US will automatically qualify. Maybe they'll have a FIFA style Asia 2 v Americas 1 for the final spot

"LA Games have proposed a six-team event, but no firm decision has been made on the number of teams, or how they will qualify.
The final event programme and number of athlete quotas in the additional sports will be finalised at a later date."

Should play sixes format IMO. Get more teams in the same space.
It's a great move to have Cricket in the Olympics. I do not think it will inspire USA, China etc to develop cricket, due to the fact that only the top few out of 100+ nations playing the sport will actually feature at the event. Building a championship team is also much much harder than building a single champion athlete. China did not even bother entering cricket teams into the Asian Games that they hosted! But it will open up doors to funding for a lot of Associates, which is always good.
It is a bit crap that the proposal features only 6 team atm, and most likely it will be full members sending out second XIs + USA. The tournament does just seem like another guise to play an India vs Pakistan match. But hopefully they can fit a few more teams in, and there will be some growth in the tournament with each edition.
I am not joking about sixes as a format. It is more accessible for non-cricket viewers, both in person and on TV. Can fit more games, and therefore more teams, into the same amount of time/venues. And it creates more opportunity for associate countries to win some matches. Plus it would be much more fun to watch than some 2nd XI T20Is!
Also only 1 medal for cricket is a bit crap. It takes up so much time and resources compared to other sports at these global multi-sport events (like track & field, swimming, etc) but those end up generating tons of medals for each country. Many athletes get to win multiple medals at an event. Cricket should introduce 'skills' competitions into these events. Run small competitions in/around the actual matches and award medals to players who can bowl the fastest ball, hit the biggest sixes, can hit the stumps from the furthest distance, take the best catches, etc. China may not win the actual cricket medal, but might care to train up an athlete or two to win these competitions instead.

But in the last Olympics a Chinese athlete ran under 10 seconds, China hosted the last Asian games and relationship between India and China is growing day by day in all walks of life, China can develop the cricket if they put their minds to it.

They have mentioned that they are likely to use the ICC rankings to determine who qualifies. So they will take the Top 6 teams in the ICC rankings on a cut-off date, with no exception made for the hosts.
And West Indies might not make the cut either. In the last 1-2 years, the top 6 teams have been Australia, India, Pakistan, Great Britain, New Zealand and South Africa. Let's see if these 6 nations can remain top 6 in a few years.

If England is in top 6, then Great Britain certainly is as it is a bigger entity consisting of England as one of the nations.
West indies is already a collective entity made up of so many nations. If Windies ends up 6th, it is impossible to give any one its nations a ticket to the olympics and deprive all the other WI nations. So they are automatically ruled out most likely.
Sri Lanka & Bangladesh are the only genuine contenders besides the current top 6.

even then is it worth it?
at the last Olympics the only non traditional powerhouse teams that qualified in football were Romania and Honduras and thats a sport that has been around for so long, even there Honduras have been qualifying for Olympics consistently over the last few times because the US have been shitting the bed consistently
Afraid not, if ICC Rankings are used then Great Britain does not rank in the top 6 according to ICC so they don't make it
