Yes. I can confirm from 1961 onwards from the time I first saw Jaisimha. He never had his collars down.
Here he is (minus the kerchief). From his looks I would say this picture is from the early 60's.

the collar up is really popular, lots of people do that these days, not sure who started it
Richie Benaud was definitely one of the pioneers.

Try Keith Miller in the 1940s for collar up, unbuttoned shirt and longish hair.

Yes thats right. I remember his photographs with hair flying, collars up and buttons undone some distance.

I have a picture somewhere of the Don with his collars up.
Here it is...

He is balding here but I am sure I have another one from his younger days too. So we have to go into the 20's or before to find the pioneer :)

Shane Warne's trousers. Definitely different than the rest. The kind I'd want to wear myself rather than the normal ones.

I personally go for collar up, large pair of oakleys shades under a blue cap or a floppy sunhat if i'm playing away from college.. Wristband and yellow bangle on my left arm..

I always wear sunglasses, unless its really gloomy, but thats due to a problem with my eyes and its quite frustrating.. I bowl in sunglasses like Gileo, and just use a floppy sunhat when i bat..
