I am interested because you can, at times pick up some great rare books at these second hand outlets.I don't know, but will look next time I go. Frankly, I'd be surprised if the owner has a computer!

I'd ask Archie - I know he picks over the same places I go, and his library is massive - he might have some details to hand...
ListeningHey Archie are you listening !!
Oh okay, they have no email or web site either You would think with the amount of people shopping on line these days and the amount of people that collect books (mostly men it seems) it would be a must to have a web site"The Bookery", three doors down from Canty's tbh...
I have read both of those, I seem to remember the Davo one more, so maybe that was better. All I can remember of the Lindwall one is him saying captaincy was easy. Davo basically says Meckiff is a chucker (if I remember correctly).Picked up "Flying Stumps" by Lindwall and "15 Paces" by Davo earlier this week for $3 each. Pretty happy with that...
ThanksListening
I imagine it is Cantys?
They have no email or web site. There is one called Winchbooks, which is just outside of Canberra and they have a lot of cricket books www.winchbooks.com.au
Also this place has a lot of cricket books but are a little pricey www.berkelouw.com.au
The best place in Aust is Roger Page cricket books in Melbourne but he does not have a web site, but can locate almost any book that you want
Not sure which Sobers one it is, but if it is the one co-written with Harris, I do not think it anything specialPicked up a few recently, some based on suggestions here:
Bodyline Autopsy - David Firth
Farewell to Cricket - Don Bradman
The Joy of Cricket - Various
My Autobiography - Gary Sobers
Agreed. I would rate them asNot sure which Sobers one it is, but if it is the one co-written with Harris, I do not think it anything special
The top one, would be my pick, although the Joy of Cricket is a good read
Just read All Out by Gidieon Haigh and was going to review it but didn't like it much. The 20/20 hindsight ie putting a whole load of articles previously published together with a bit of padding in between really annoys me. Cricinfo really loved it.
Anyone else read it? Your thoughts?
yeah that's the one. If you like it perhaps you should do the review as I was a bit disappointed.Reading it as we speak, have only read 10 pages. If I have the right book? The latest Ashes series?

I would be there 3 hours earlyDon't know how many London-based members we have here, but I thought this might be of interest. It has already started, but there should be a few goodies left. I'm sure Archie would go if it were a bit nearer
Good idea, happy to have a look at what people would like to sellWould anyone be interested in posting a list of cricket books they'd like to swap or purchase from others on CW and we could do our own 'virtual' second hand cricket book sale? Just a thought.
