I want this game now...if only I could get mum to realise that giving out credit card numbers to amazon is not dangerous...the chance of it coming to Norway is minute :P

75 stadiums will mean that, visually they won't be that great..but I think most people would prefer variety than just 10 or 15 stadiums.

It probably means there will be all the major test venues for each country & then a few others that only have ODI's.

One thing I hate, is the ea sports bat...im sorry but im more into simulation than arcade, and I think they're better off making the bat have no label.

I gather from reports that facing Shoaib, Lee, Bond etc will be a much harder task than in Cricket 2002.

They were barely any quicker than the fast medium bowlers & for realism they should really crank up a few of the quicker bowlers to make it more challenging.

Tim, need not worry, I think in the editor you can change the look of peoples bats, and probably have blank ones for people without sponsers...

Usually modders get quick to work on bats anyway, hopefully this will be the same for C2004, so you can have the Kookaburras or MRF's or whatever... Personally I might get stuck into making my B&S Fireblade for the game...

First priority for modders will be the kits. Only Aus/SA/NZ/Eng have the proper license so all the other kits will be made up...

From my experience of EA wth FIFA, the stadiums are very very good and realistic - pity the game sucks!

Ahh, well the amount of money spent on EA football compared to cricket is huge.

Thats why the depth of gameplay & visuals in games like Madden, Football etc is so much better than EA Rugby or Cricket...it just comes down to the fact that more people buy the NFL, Basketball games.

I've read the things people have written here, and I agree for the most part, but one thing I would like is very simple. I would like the OPTION of turning off the ball marker as the bowler is running in. Personally, I think it's too easy to score, and scoring and 10 an over is not even benchmark. This is in hard mode for crying out loud! I'd just like to turn the marker off so I have to react to the ball rather than having time to prepare a shot. It would make it more realistic! No more 500+ in one day games. They're much too easy.

Agreed, I think that would make the game a little more challenging for a few months.

I think the fast bowlers really need to bowl fast, so the time you have to choose your shot is very limited & the spinners need to vary it a bit more & players like Murali should be getting mega turn.

In 2002 the only real conditions that had any effect were the bounce and the outfield. Does anyone know if there will be things like notable pitch deterioration, swinging new balls etc.
Also, one thing that bugs me is the whole swing thing. Medium pacers all swinging the ball and swinging it as far as they do is stupid. There should actually be a bowler type for medium pacers.

The problem is though that EA Sports are notoriously bad at promising things for games like Rugby & Cricket and then under-delivering.

Adding things like players editors, domestic teams etc will mean that other things have suffered.

Yeah, it would be great if the quicks bowled really quick... I think they will have sped up a bit...

Ive got a baseball game on my PS2, High Heat Baseball 2003, and it has the facility to turn off the dot where the ball is headed... Maybe EA think that it would be too hard for people to play without the dot...

The stupid thing in 2002 was that everytime you played a defensive shot it never beat the bat.

At least on hard mode especially with the new ball, there should be plenty of swing so you will have a testing time batting.
