CPL 2024 **Official Thread***

A few things that I've noticed in this year's competition so far:

-At the age of 35, Johnson Charles has incorporated a new shot in his limited batting repertoire, a switch-hit. He's used it to great effect...earlier in the tournament, this wasn't present.

-The acquisition of Moeen Ali for the Amazon Warriors has been a great one, 8 wickets in 6 matches at an economy of 3.71

-Pooran can't play crisis cricket. Last night was the perfect opportunity for him to play a knock of importance...and what did he do? Threw his wicket away.

More to come as we get to the playoffs...tomorrow's match is the last of the round-robin phase...and it will be chicken curry versus curry chicken.

Motie picks up another to make it his 16th wicket of the season. This is the most he's taken in a single season eclipsing the 15 he took last season, which he did in 3 more innings (12 last year vs 9 this year)

Faf trying to be a hero here. Cramping up like crazy and is refusing to go off, currently 79 off 56. Shades of Maxwell in the WC. The game is well and truly away from them-- 57 to get in 5 balls
