Consecutive Year of Birth Test Draft:

Line and Length

Cricketer Of The Year
Had a great deal of difficulty with my batting line-up with 5 batsmen who traditionally occupied either 3 or 4. I could have opened with one (Hassett) but Mankad performed best with the bat as an opener.

Vijay Merchant (1911)
Vinoo Mankad (1917)
Don Bradman (1908)
George Headley (1909)
Dudley Nourse (1910)
Lindsay Hassett (1913)
Vijay Hazare (1915)
Don Tallon (1916)
Alec Bedser (1918)
Jack Cowie (1912)
Ernie Toshack (1914)

Great team L&L, but you can't pick Cowie though, there's a 10 Test minimum criteria

Ooops. I forgot that clause.
I could either re-shuffle my entire team or opt for another 1912 player. I'll go for the latter and pick a player who Jack Figleton rated amongst the best medium-paced bowlers he ever saw. I confess I knew little (or nothing) about him but I'll select Arthur "Chud" Langton who played 15 Tests for South Africa.
