India were clearly the best team in the competition and deserved to lift the trophy.

Their batting is strong. They've got the best spin attack and the best seamer.

Bumrah is in the top few white ball bowlers of all time.

But remember India have lots to celebrate too over the past ten years. The high points being back to back series wins IN Australia, including at the Gabba, which was the greatest sporting moment of my life, as an Indian fan.

I love it partly because the match was amazing and we’ve seen rare genius in Bumrah, and I wanted Rohit and Kohli to win at the top of their games.

but in the back of my mind, I think it’s not a real World Cup and it’s also not test cricket. It’s all about the BGS for me and the fear and anticipation of the next one.
