If Leisel Jones was her own state, she would be coming 7th overall.

 she has been awsome, incredible stuff

i wonder how many countries Australia's walkers will end up beating by themselves - a clean sweep of the 20km of mens and womens :)

Is she a unit? Does she ever beat you up to make you feel small and inadequate?
Haha... no she is surprisingly petite. She's really humble... doesnt really talk about swimming that much either. Top lass.

Why does the UK have to be weakened by losing all their athletes to Scotland and other random places that arent even countries? Strictly speaking it literally is like dividing Australia up into states..

Except... (excluding Australian team golds and a couple of athletes who don't seem to have a place of birth, or were born overseas, or were born in ACT/NT...)

Code:
		        GOLD	SILVER	BRONZE
1st	England 17	18	15
2nd	Queensland	14	13	13
3rd	India 12	8	3
4th	Scotland	8	5	6
5th	Canada 6	16	13
6th	South Africa	6	3	7
7th	New South Wales	5	6	6
8th	South Australia	5	1	0
9th	Victoria	4	4	5
10th	New Zealand	2	4	9
11th	Nigeria 2	4	2
12th	Malaysia	2	3	4
13th	W. Australia	2	1	2

The UK would have a total of 25 golds 23 silvers and 21 bronzes.. Don't have a clue why they don't play as the UK tbh..

Because the UK isnt a country?

It's about members of the commonwealth, and UK is not one, however, England and co are.

Because Scotland deserves the right to compete for itself, rather than a controlling foreign power?

Scotland might not be a country in the strictest sense, but it's far more of a country than Queensland is. If you don't count Scotland as a country, you may as well not count India either. The only difference is that one managed to win its independance and the other lost.

My comment regarding Loughborough being ninth in the table if they were a state must be wrong....

I reckon we are more like 5th or 6th, anyone confirm?

Provided you have won 2 gold medals and no others, you'd be 11th. But like I posted before, Leisel Jones would be 7th, Queensland would be 2nd (minus team medals), etc etc

I nominate the walking event as the lamest in these games - what next the 800 metres baby crawl? The 400 metres hop? Completely pointless.

Have you actually ever given it a go? Its pretty bloody hard..

Sob story. I used to come second in everything in primary school to this other girl... I beat her at the walk

Hopping for 400 metres is 'pretty bloody hard' it doesn't mean it should be an event in the games.
