I realized that there cannot be 3 players left to choice since the third such round of selection could not be conducted with any sort of fairness Obvious, I know, and something that will be fixed. So, I will add another clause, and you will get to select only 2 players of choice.

That being the case, and because there's bound to be plenty of us requiring specialists like keepers, spinners, openers etc - would it be possible to have the Clauses 'cast a wide net'? Especially for round 11 when the last gap needs to be filled in.

Or if you did chose to offer a 'choice' for round 11 then it would be up to the drafters to 'cop it on the chin' if they happened to be near last on the list. After all, the order is randomly generated.

Faulkner would have been classified as an all-rounder

Vogler was a good bowler.

On a similar note, Basil Butcher was quite a good bat, and until yesterday, I had not heard much about him at all.

Think you might be underestimating Billy Barnes a touch there.

Supposed to be an excellent attacking batsman. Averaged 23 with the bat in the 1880s (not easy!), with 1 century and 5 fifties from 33 innings. Has the third lowest Avg*SR of the early era after Lohmann and Ferris.

His finest hour was in the first Test ever played in Adelaide where his 134 on a rain-damaged wicket ensured the win for England. In the next Test of that series, at Melbourne, he bowled England into a 2-0 lead with second-innings figures of 38.3-26-31-6.

Also reported to be an excellent close fielder.
