I've got 4 last name combinations all ready to go - just need one of the guys before me to go for a dud someone else and I'll be sweet.

Michael Atherton
Michael Slater
Michael Vaughan
Michael Clarke*
Mike Hussey
Michael Bevan / Mike Gatting
Mike Procter
Mike Findlay+
Michael Holding
Michael Kasprowicz
Mike Hendrick

Seeing as I was only thinking of Clarke, Holding and Atherton when I picked it that turned out amazing. Brearley doesn't even make the team

When did you ask for it? Sounded like you just made the decision to ban him. Anyhoo, I nearly went for Mike. The reason why I chose Ian instead was because of the lack of keeper (I had never heard of Findlay tbh).

in the opening post, where I also addressed 3-4 potential questions and of course they were all asked anyway. so you can imagine im a little sick of them by now

Neither had I. On second thoughts I might make Mike Brearley do it - he kept wicket in first class cricket and is considered worthy of a glove icon on ICC 2005.
