Changes

Ok, i've decided to announce all the changes which will be taking place this season...

First of all and probably the biggest change, is the change of Sim..
Originally it was planned to use Internet Test Cricket and Howzat One Day International Cricket.. However it was decided that HODI was not suitable, so we have decided to go with ITC for the First Class version of the game, whilst we will stick with VC4(for the moment) for the One Day format...

Another addition which we have decided on is Mid Season Trading... During the season there will be 3 Trade periods which will allow teams to trade players in and out of their squads... The 1st Period will start before the season and will run until week 4 of the competition, The 2nd Period will run between week 11 and week 16, whilst the 3rd and final period will run from week 22 till the off season...
Transfers will be completed immediatley upon agreement so players will be available immediatley for their new clubs..
There will be rules in regards to transfers..
* NO player will be allowed to move more then once during 1 trade period...
* Trades will need to be completed by the Thursday Team submission deadline for the player to be eligible for that weeks games...
* Trade talks can remain open and trades agreed during closed periods and the trade will take effect when the next period opens...

At this stage it has not been decided as to whether we will be having a Cup Competition.. The Board will decide this in the near future..

The Board will be made up of Myself, Simon, and Jason, whilst we will be advertising 1 more position in the near future..

funny how i was envolved in all of wcc last comp and this one i am not involved, have not been spoken too....feels like the knife has just been thrown in and pushed guys........i9magine going from being involved to not being involved..dont think any of you guys would like it...........................................my 2 cents worth.....................................

Yeah I'm a bit disappointed, as I would definitely be up for helping you guys but I was never really informed on what was going on.

Well let me clear a few things up...

1/ I was approached by Simon and Jason asking if i was interested in coming back, and between us we decided that we could handle things for the moment...

2/ In the past the 3 of us have undoubtably done the most amount of work so its an automatic decision...

People need to stop taking things personally and be grateful.. We dont need 1000 hands, last time we had 7 board members and half hardly ever did anything... We decided between us that a board member was not going to just be a title, people would have to work if they wanted to be on the board, thats why we have decided to wait and advertise a position in the near future.. If you want to apply when it comes up, good, However everyone will be treated evenly...

the changes sound mighty good. i must say i'm very excited about the prospect of a mid season trade period. On the topic of cutting back on board members I have to agree with Blewett on this one. I almost felt like too many people were on the board just for the "glory" of the position (me included) and that the work itself could be handled by a core group which was smaller than 7.

May i ask why you needed to be consulted???

As far as i recall i started WCC, and this is not a gloat but i believe i have the right to make that decision, and i did so in consulting the person who has helped me do MOST of the work around here in Simon...

As for the Player of the year info, well IIRC you did it yes, but who set it all up for you???

yeh there will be a draft, i suspect (this isnt certain) but weaker teams will have better picks, this will be to offset the massively reduced ammount of rookies...

Good job guys, btw, Kent my be looking a tad crap, but I'm sure we'll have a lot of fun in the revamped game

no, but i ment it would be similar to the AFL draft where they dont have rounds as such, more so just numbers where they pick at, say the team that came last would have picks 1, 6, 15, 25 and the team that comes first may have picks 22, 28, 35, 50 or something like that...

Bugs, i suggest you leave.. I did nothing wrong.. I posted about the changes and you blew up... simple, people can see that clearly... If you keep coming in here trying to stir trouble i will seek further action...
