Is MEK Hussey representing Chennai or Western Australia?

Could be quite interesting this, hoping to catch a couple of matches. Assuming they'll be night time games, they'll be at a reasonably convenient time.

Well, to each their own. I've no problems with that. I simply don't feel any particular attachment to any side as I don't really see them as 'Indian' sides - they're just clubs. If Delhi was playing here, I'd support them due to McGrath, for example.

Right now, I had a look at the Middlesex squad, and I think I'll be rooting for them. It's sort of liberating, not being bound by nationalistic considerations.
Do you think this is anything to do with the IPL sides being franchises, or would you feel the same if it was the traditional Indian domestic sides?

I might feel slightly more loyal to, say, the Baroda FC side (as I used to live in Baroda). But really, even then, it wouldn't be much and it wouldn't necessarily lead to me rooting for them over another team I liked more - say Delhi with McGrath. Whereas I'd root for India over Australia even if McGrath was playing for Australia.

Unless you're representing the country, it's all club cricket, and I don't associate it with a country. It's the Royals vs. Titans, not India vs. South Africa. To my mind, anyway.

Titans have a strong side with M Morkel, Steyn, and AB playing. Not to mention they have a great spinning allrounder in Roelof Van Der Merwe who I'd to see how well he plays on the Indian surfaces.

Well fair enough, in footy I don't necessarily support the English sides in the Champions League, just feel a sense of victimisation when they get penalised lol

Off topic, what an atrocious name for a sports team. Sounds like a brand of cigarettes.
AWTA> I guess they wanted to go for Chennai Superstars, but that name already was taken by the ICL team. And worse, there is a Kings XI of Punjab.

But the best ----> Kolkota Knightriders

I'm pretty sure it would. If the Warriors and the Bushrangers are told not to go, neither will Huseey, Watson etc. Warne still will though.
I guess they'll leave it to the teams' decisions, though with a strict advise not to go. But since the venues have been shifted, and with assurances of high security, I wonder they'll sabotage the idea of touring.

BARNES OUT
Considering the stake these teams have in it. And also Cricket Australia. The tour will definitely go on. And losers, in terms of purely monetary, would be them.
That's not sabotaging anything, that's being cautious with the people under their care.

And fair enough IMO. Money will never be more important than life, in any circumstance.

Yeah, fine. Even I would be declining to tour India, if I;d be an Australian, at the moment, given the delicate situation there. But neverthless the tour will go on.

India has money, Pakistan doesn't. I'm not sure they will though, considering, unlike Pakistan, they seem to be targetting foreigners here.
