Hi Teuton, I will change it to minimum of 1 wk, 3 batsmen and 5 bowlers (AR plus Bowl). I will send updated rules soon.

I have question. Suppose you put Australia for the auction. I want one of two players, A or B; but not both/can't afford both. Can I bid like this:
Choice 1: 100 for A
Choice 2 (if A got out bidded): 80 for B

If you have 180 on hand, you can bid 100 for A and 80 for B. You will get A or B or both if you are the highest bid for that player. You won't get both of them if someone outbids you for both players.

You cannot bid on a if-else mode. That is the risk you will take when you bid for a player. You can bid for any number of players in a single round though as long as total bid amount is within your remaining budget.

This is only the second auction I am doing. First one was for the world cup last year. No, it is possible only for ICC tournaments since cricinfo statsguru doesn't record leagues.

Just like last draft, we will start in the order of squads released. So, we will start with England this time. I will post the details today evening.

The auction is on and dollars galore. During the process, all 120 players in the 8 squads will go under the hammer and get selected.

First up on the auction table is someone who brought in a new perspective to the ODI game, the England squad. Please bid for 0-12 players from the below 15 quality players to get into your 12 member strong squad. Bid deadline is 48 hours from this post since this is the first round. Going forward, the bid deadline will be 24 hours. If I do not receive any bids within 48 hours, I will take it that you are not bidding for below players. Remember, you have to bid within the $1000 that you have.

Also, we have a new rule this time. Your final 12 member squad need to have a minimum of 3 bats, 1 wicket-keeper and a 5-bowler combination (Bowl+ AR).

Looking forward to receiving interesting bids from everyone through PM. And shhh, it's a secret auction. You can't let out your bid amounts to anyone until the deadline. Let me know here if you have any doubts.

The semi-finalists and finalist teams get extra matches over the others which means extra points. Also, you will be asked to choose a captain at the end post all the rounds. The captain gets 1.5x of the points he scores.

So, bid strongly for those players whom you think will take their teams to the knock-outs.
