Certified Chokers

For those of you who get the AFL footy show, you might recall a fantastic one-liner by Sam Newman relating to the Geelong footy club that's relevant to this whole idea of choking, and who could help them overcome the problem.

I can't reproduce it here, even with the language blanked as it would not be appropriate for these forums, but just in case anyone else can remember what I'm talking about...

NZ has won four? Wow.
This statement says a lot about ODIs.

Zimbabwe have made it to a final
In a tournament with Canada and Bermuda.

(and the 2000 NatWest Series, where they walked all over West Indies and finished ahead of England in the group table but got bogged down by Caddick and Gough in the final, and a CUMODIT in UAE with Sri Lanka, Kenya, Pakistan)

why? it's better than sitting around and moping about it....:p
Lol there is always that angle.

I don't know why India choke in the finals for, I mean it isn't as though they don't have the players to do well, although the 2003 WC final to bowl first made about as much sense as all the opposition captains who decide to bowl first at the 'Gabba on the first day of a Test match there.

Ganguly's decision to bowl first plain and simply sent the message saying "Hey Australia, we're **** scared of you."

Was horrible. Australia cleaning India up when they were out of form earlier in the tournament (only other match they lost incidentally) shook up Ganguly, and he didn't want it happening again. Plus he figured since India's fast bowlers were bowling better then they ever have, he may as well bank on them rather than a batting line-up of Tendulkar, Sehwag (when he was good in ODIs), Dravid and himself.
