Benchmark insulted about twenty different members in his leaving post,and anywhoo he said he was leaving, so banning him permanently is surely just a logical move.

I wasn't in the firing line either, he probably didn't even notice who I was. Yet hes said hes not posting anymore, and the thing I hate most about interweb forums is idiots doing false-leaving threads, utterly pointless and stupid, and if not genuine, just a cry for help and sympathy imho.

Good point actually. If the logic behind banning Murphy is seriously that he "said he was leaving anyway", then show some consistency and ban LE as well, as he did the exact same thing. That is, criticise other members, complain about what was happening on the site and say he wasn't coming back.

I'm sure consistency is far too much to ask from this moderating team, but it can't hurt to hope.

Above all I fail to understand why you'd give a permanent ban to someone who obviously wasn't coming back.
LE himself said he insulted staff members which would constitute at least a 7 dayer in this Wave.

He had a go at everyone who commented in that DD thread, and also had a big tantrum in the WC forum IIRC, especially at Murphy. He also had a go at a few other people and then deleted the posts an hour later (as noted in the post that is linked on this page). Surely that qualifies?

He didn't list a whole bunch of people by name in a single thread, but otherwise he basically he did exactly what Murphy did.

It is pathetic that people are bringing a member who can't defend himsel f(because he has volunteerly withdrawn himself from posting) to justify what Benchy did.

I dont know what LE did, but it is almost impossible to think that he would ever stoop to this level.
