Mahmood Hussain vs India. The lesser known of the trio of early era Pakistanis pace bowlers had his best moment with the bat in the 5th and last test of probably the most boring test series in cricket history. Atleast that's what the scorecards make it seem like. Seriously I almost fell asleep looking at these scorecards, the runrates are depressing. A series with 4 drawn tests and Bapu Nadkarni almost singlehandedly destroying the sport (he bowled 191 overs for 220 runs ! )had its only exciting sounding moment at the very end of the 5th test when Pakistan were 212-9 in the 2nd innings and only 36 ahead. Hussain smacked 35 quick runs ( by the standards of a test involving nadkarni) and it ultimately left India with too many to get in the little time remaining. A series everyone should be glad they didnt watch had its appropriate blue-balls inducing ending. (https://www.espncricinfo.com/series...dia-vs-pakistan-5th-test-62887/full-scorecard)

John Watkins vs Pakistan. A pre Bryce McGain era leg spinner who played a solitary test after being picked out of obscurity. Only got to bowl 6 overs in the game. In australia's 2nd innings, he came in to bat with 7 down with a lead of 68. Shared an ultimately match winning partnership with Massie to set Pakistan 159 to win and they obviously choked. Watkins then had the yips on a tour to WI, was never picked in a test again and only played 4 more FC games. (https://www.espncricinfo.com/series...lia-vs-pakistan-3rd-test-63096/full-scorecard)
Honourable mention: Bhuvneshwar Kumar vs England, Lord's 2014. Seriously, even being a Bhuvi fanboy I'm not out here googling all of Bhuvi's innings and seeing which ones might fit in this thread, its just that he kept putting up great performances which organically come up. On a pitch where you can barely even make out the pitch from the rest of the turf (not even exaggerating) and India struggling at 145-7, he and rahane took India to a respectable 295.
Then he casually took 6-82 and made a vital 52 in the second innings. Ishant memed it up and stole his MotM award. (https://www.espncricinfo.com/series...india-2nd-investec-test-667713/full-scorecard)
