This was inspite of Bradman sending a message asking the players to take the field and allow him to have a go at the record.

Mate, I knew it was the Signal twins of NZ, just not when and against who, so partly out of interest I 'googled' for it. Disregard my answer if you wish :dry:

Well. I think the answer to (3) is wrong. Nimbalkar couldnt complete the record because the opponents, not wanting to be known as the side against whom the world record was made decided to conced the match !!

As far as 1B) is concerned

I Think, Worrell, Walcott and Tillaketatne have all played for their test sides as pure batsmen PLU have kept wickets in test matches.
