Who cares about ODIs? They are becoming extinct day by day and in a few years time there will only be T20s and Tests. Not a bad thing at all.

He did the former and not the latter. Hayden's retirement was fairly irrelevant to Steyn. But nonetheless, 1 game proves little to nothing, doesn't it? Especially as no-one ever said he was incapable of doing it.

No doubt the Saffers will talk themselves up something chronic in the lead up to the series, though.

If there's one thing I hate on this forum, it's someone bringing up a predictive post of another's and mocking it when it ends up being wrong. The fact that someone actually put down their thoughts puts them well above those who kept quiet and are now saying they knew it all along. Not really. It is annoying and iritating to pretty much everyone involved and makes the person making the criticism look childish and petulant. By all means carry on doing it, but don't come crying when people get pissed off at you for doing it.

I'm fairly sure most posters don't need your comments to help them make predictions in the future TSTL.

As I said, by all means carry on, but don't be surprised when people don't like it.

With a valid reason behind them. Assume a poster who was carping around every 10 posts that Steyn was ****, he's no good, we'll see after SA series etc. And nobody talks anything then. Once the series is over, he is gently reminded that he was wrong. When the reminder happens everywhere the person posts, then it becomes trolling.

Eg- Outside this thread, and for every post Richard makes that contains Steyn in it, if Precamb replies with "Oho, but you got it wrong last time around " , then Precamb indeed is trolling.
