Can McGrath and Warne cope with back-to-back tests?

I believe there's some serious straw-clutching on the part of this thread author.
Maybe, especially as it won't matter who bowls for Aus if Harmison bowls like toilet as he has done today. Perhaps he's missing his mammy?

McGrath seems to be one of the most reliable fitness wise of the current international quicks. He never really seems to get injured (except the ball incedent  )

The Aussies are going to call in cover for McGrath as they are concerned that his heel won't be healed (haha). Looks like the author of this thread might not have been so far of the mark after all?

Warne also looked completely knackered after his marathon spell and surely one of the reasons for Ponting not enforcing the follow on is because he was worried that McGrath and Warne needed a rest.

Australia kept the same side as the last test, exactly. If McGrath was injured they could just add an extra bowler to the squad at any time, as with Clarke coming in for Shane Watson, they don't need to keep an extra player there. It's not a tour.

The reason for keeping both Johnson and Tait in the squad is to show them that they are both close to selection, that's all there is to it. The same reason they were in the first test squad when McGrath didn't have blisters.
