Decided to rest Harewood and Crawford and open the bowling with a couple of competents, so you should reach three figures or so. Batting will be full strength, but I'll be putting some of the lesser-talented batsmen up the order (mainly because I'm curious as to what middle order rating I can manage).
Still contrived to lose a wicket even to your charitably-chosen opening bowlers. Interested to see how many balls the boys last against Whitehorne. I reckon Piton might last two.

Edit: Alright, three. Heh.

Well, I don't care what happens now - Bromby just hit 14 off one Whitehorne over.

Okay, I care a little bit that Janes just holed out on the boundary, but what can you do. :)

That's that:

Beard XI 158-10 (43.3 overs)
Bromby 80 (85)
Watkins 4-19

Asterix XI 163-2 (36.2 overs)
Gilligan 57 (100)
Oleary 1-19

Chuffed with Bromby's innings; he saw off almost all of Watkins and Whitehorne, when I expected their first spells to clean me up. Cheers for the match, Adam...

I get Strong and my top order is Superb-Superb, Superb-Strong and Resp-feeb.
I get strong with wonderful-strong, quality-prof and prof-resp with maximum form and fitness. Only thing I can think of is that the prof-resp is on very low PFL.

Beat Marc, tried out my top-order with my best three batsmen and managed quality top order rating. :)

148 for nought v Clapo's XI.

Probably shouldn't have gone full minnow-bashing mode.

Im kinda disappointed i lost, i had him 4 down early, and couldnt finish the job. Solid effort from my batters to score 288 on a cracked pitch, but Poke was the only bowler who could do anything. Canning made the difference really, 2 wickets and 135 runs. Ratings show that i should have lost, so im not that upset:

Well, this does give me some confidence coming into the next couple of matches, hopefully can beat Clapo.
You were definitely unlucky. Terry's done absolutely nothing with the bat for me before, his highest score being 30 in his debut, while Sutton normally bats very slowly. As you said though, it was Canning who made the difference for me, but at 4/33 I was *****ing myself.

Yeah, good game. Pretty decent effort from your batsmen to get hold of Whitehorne and Watkins in their first spells. Looks like your best players are all trainees so you should have a pretty decent side in a season or two.

The plate draw might change slightly if we get an extra couple sides. I'll post the fixtures for that tommorrow regardless. Also if possible when managers post their results in the thread can you include the overs, as it makes it easierly to do the table.
