Nah...1/150 hammered by Shastri and Tendulkar....I certainly am. 1/160, hammered by Azharuddin, lucky he wasn't a one test wonder!

Although with this being the 3rd test and McGain being 37 I dont see that happening.

Clarke's test/4 day bowling is ordinary.Michael Clarke > any other spinner Australia has right now.
Why waste the space? Put another player in, and let Clarke bowl all the spin. Can't be any worse than McGain, surely.
Well he could be picked as a specialist captain. Everyone seems to hate Ponting's captaincy, so it might be worth a tryThe way we are going, it wont be long until Chris Simpson is given a Test.![]()
True that. There were calls for Siddle's axing, turns out keeping him in the team was the right choice.Bryce has been a consistent performer for Victoria over the past couple of years in all three forms of the game. Hauritz, Casson and Krejza have not even been regulars in their state sides over this time.
Prince and Kallis are pretty handy players. They took a few risks and got on top of him early on and it paid off this time. The results look pretty bad so far, but you can't judge him based on just 11 overs. It's a shame it looks like he won't get anything to bowl at in the second dig as it could have been a totally different ball game.
Siddle looked pretty average in the WACA test too but you've got to give guys a decent chance to establish themselves.
Hmm, fair enough. Although I reckon a spinner is that one specialist position where you shouldn't lose too much as you get older. Mo Matthews is still going strong! John Traicos played forever. If Bryce did turn out to be good, (and that is a big if) he probably could play well into his forties if he really wanted.Siddle's only 24 though, it was a logical long-term investment to keep him in the side. McGain...
Siddle looked "pretty average". McGain has just bowled what was possibly the worst spell in the history of test cricket.True that. There were calls for Siddle's axing, turns out keeping him in the team was the right choice.

I'm not saying McGain bowled well or anything like that, I saw the highlights and McGain for whatever reason (nerves probably) bowled nothing but pies, that I can't deny and nor will I try to (for all we know he might bowl a whole lot better today).Siddle looked "pretty average". McGain has just bowled what was possibly the worst spell in the history of test cricket.
Not comparable.
