Haynes' home record is underappreciated imo.

There were some good opposition spinners in the 70s but not so much in the 80s. Think Underwood had a lot of success v Gavaskar.
Gavaskar's matches had a net average of: 31.14
Viv's had: 29.54

Once acquitted for the home bowling difference, I don't think Sunny had enough of a pitch advantage at home to merit a discussion.

runs per wicket in Gavaskar's games at home was 34 and runs per wicket in Gavaskar's games overall was 35. Above average.

I brought up home tracks because I think that reduces the batting position factor. Asia is a good place for openers.

WI stats are brought down by their bowlers though.

You're so desperate man to call Tendulkars series as a teen against Donald a fail.

The point is Tendulkar simply was more consistent and I have shown you, didn't outright fail away from home against top attack plus had great series against such attacks that Lara did not.
Then post the great series he had away from home against a top attack (and specifically one he and Lara faced).....

I literally said that him and lara faced....
You are shifting goalposts.

You asked who he did better against in away series, and I pointed to Donald and McGrath.

On top of that, Tendulkar has other ATG pacers like Ambrose and Steyn he has quality away series against to.

Just accept that Tendulkar is a bit better on this front.

I do and don't start with me and semantics. You've reacted the same way in the past with Imran. Some have downplayed his away record relative to other greats and you painstakingly went through the reasons why that isn't the case.
Yes but as you know Imran has extenuating factors for his away record that Lara does not.

But then, Imrans away record being criticized a bit wasn't new on this forum whereas few if I recall have tagged Lara on this front where the concern is more legitimate. I tend to focus my critiques more on those arguments that are lesser highlighted.

Bro when did I say he wasn't better? That's literally the reason I give for why I rate him higher. I already told you what my issue is. You and these little shots you keep taking at the man. You've taken them here and you've done it even in debates that are irrefutable (lara great vs spin).

Sure Imran is the only one. Lara played much of 2000 with a damaged shoulder and eye issues, not to mention a hamstring issue. Played most of post 2001 with a messed up elbow he damaged in SL. And these aren't things I'm just making up. Anyway, I'm ready to move on. Peace ✌

Ok bro out of respect to you and the great man, I will tone down my framing of Lara's flaws.

also, one of the men who put Prime Wasim/Waqar on the leash, two hundreds with 400+ runs in a 3 match series which was otherwise pretty low scoring.
Yeah he has a great hundred v them away too. Doing well in England and New Zealand as an opener is impressive.
