Chappell's record is also a bit lackluster in England, especially given its the only country he toured regularly with a solid attack. Had a great series vs Hadlee, but lots of weak attacks in NZ and WI was also against a weak bowling attack (though had a good tour during WSC).
Chappell is better than Lara in England. Greg was good in 2/3 England tours and has outstanding hundreds at Lords and Old Trafford. Lara was prolific in 1/3 IIRC and even there he wasn't great in the tougher conditions.

Yes. Lara failed against the strong Ashes quartet in 2004. To be fair, he was suffering from eye issues in 2000. However, even if against poorer bowling, he had an awesome tour in 95.

Tbf Chanders did make runs in England though. But yeah that attack gave Lara and pretty much the entire Aussie lineup headaches (Ashes 2005)
I meant specifically in that series for Chanderpaul. He was very good in England.
