If you really want to know, I had pictures disabled as I have low internet speed and was downloading song and missed the angry faces as a result of it which would give away that you were joking. ;)

And yes I really feel from the heart for sport in general and cricket in particular. :)

Are you sure he hasn't been trying to bowl line and length all along, but sprays it instead?

:D

Hmm.. i see similiar comments have been posted before. Right SJS? :D

That's what happens when you start on page 3.

McGrath provides accuracy, and Lee's aggressive style complements him well.

Lee has been unlucky of late, and i even believe that he has been his most consistent over the past season in his whole career. I don't believe he should have made these statements. A geniune pace bowler is attacking by nature, and i think that he should continue with his current methodology.

That's my two cents.

Lee bowling Line & Lengh?

It will be interesting to see if he follows this new phillosaphy when Sarwan comes out to bat.

How does Lee complement Mcgrath?

McGrath makes it extremely hard to score runs, then Brett Lee comes on to bowl and the pressure is momentarily released.

So 12 overs 1 for 50 - did he stick to what he said he was going to do or was it same old 4 an over Lee?

First spell was pretty poor. They went after him, and he got belted a fair bit and didn't really bowl to a plan at all.

Second spell was a huge improvement though, I think he got something like 6-3-14-1 from it. Bowled line and length for the most part, with the odd bouncer or full ball thrown in, and got a dubious wicket against Lara but nevertheless bowled well.

I thought he bowled pretty well today.

Could easily have had Smith a couple of times with the new ball and came back to bowl an excellent 2nd spell.

His first over or so with the new ball was alright, as it usually is, but once they got stuck into him a bit he got frustrated and started putting it all over the place really. Still bowled the odd good delivery, beat the bat a few times and of course hit Smith, but he didn't stick to his top-of-off line at all with the new ball. Certainly did with the older one.

I don't think Lee bowled well in his first spell (way too many either down legside or short and wide outside off stump) but after he hit Smith in the head, if I was Ponting I may have just given him one more over after drinks. Smith was pretty shaken up, and if he managed to rip a 150km yorker at him I reckon he could have ended up getting his wicket.

That being said, I reckon he was the worst of the bowlers. Obviously seeing how McGrath, Warne and Bracken bowled well that's the only spot he has but he was the only that let WI get off to a good start IMO. As others have said, good 2nd spell though.

not really or though it was obvious he was trying IMO.. ie he didn't bowl many bouncers or yorkers and most of his bad balls where good length ones just he sprayed them off line a bit.. on most occasions down the legside

I'm not sure as to why Lee even bothers to bowl at test level, in test matches he's mediocre at best and on most occasion he's simply a crap bowler.

I guess whether he plays is down to the selection committee, and whether he bowls is down to the skipper.

Any other pearls of wisdom? :D

Man, I'm worse than Lee (just slightly), but I'd certainly bother to play at Test level if I were selected.

I only saw the highlights so i'm not really in a position to judge.

he seemed to be trying to bowl better lines and legnth though that may just be a placebo affect. He looked pretty threating to left handers and his legnth was a lot better than it normaly is but his line was off, spraying it down leg a lot of the times.

I'm suprised that he bowled so fast though, for a person who said he's going to bowl line and legnth you would think that he would bowl a bit slower./
