*Breaking News* CWBCC Suspends Two Players

Cloete

Yeah way too long. As stupid as they've been it does look like one set of rules for some and another for the others.

First of all it is disappointing that the CWBCC had to resort to suspend players for half a season and a full season. But seems that it was the only option left available to get the message across that the attitude and behaviour of Alex and Nick have shown over the past season, is not acceptable.

Also i don't think these decisions where made because of one off comments made to Butler on MSN or to Hoy in his retirement thread. It seems it was more to do with their generally attitude and behaviour recently.

Hopefully one positive can come from this that all players will start to think more about some of there comments before they post it from now on.

Yeah, I think this is a real overreaction. Giving Blackman a whole season over the Butler thing is way over the top, and I can't remember Borcich doing anything aside from calling Hoy soft over the retirement. If they got say 5 matches it'd be one thing, but a whole season and half a season is ridiculous.
Well I did the same thing with Butler, calling him soft for leaving. But it was done over MSN. I know i've been a prick for most of the last 2 seasons, but even with small infringements, I can't see it adding up to a full season's suspension. Seems to me that Camps is just angry that Nathan decided to leave the league.

That's blatant baiting, I'd suggest you stop it.

Get out of this thread, you have nothing constructive to contribute.

EDIT: Demeza, not Dauth.
My childish comments were about as constructive as the other load of crap comments brought to the table.

Get over it, they got suspended, end of story.

I thought the wave of repression in CW Land was over with the ousting of Murphy, but it seems to have spread to our cricket system.

Administrative bodies and their decisions should always be open to discussion and scrutiny, so no, it isn't "end of story". Secondly, your childish comments are, infact, the only crap comments that have been brought to the table. So...

Bye Trav

Suck it up.

It's been coming and behaviour has been shocking for a while. Ban length maybe harsh but the bans aren't.

Odd, I remember the reason why I was suspended back in season 8 or 9 was becasue of you Dauth .... and I guess some things never change. I still think you are a complete ******.

This whole thread was started to inform people that two players were suspended. I'm pretty sure it wasn't started so those two players' friends would rally behind them to try and talk them out of punishment due to "unjust reasoning!".

Get over it, and crawl back under your rock, Dauth.

Sounds like a 2 match ban to me.

I don't think anyone really has a problem with the bans, in fact they were probably expected, but the length is completely absurd, and should definitely be reduced to something in the area of 5-10 games. Nobody has ever been suspended for anything like half a season, let alone a whole season, and people have done a hell of a lot worse.

To go from seeing two games for insulting another player to a whole season is way over the top, whether it is based on a "general trend" of behaviour or not. You need to have some sort of consistency in the rules.

You could have generalised, of course, and said that the only people raising concerns about the suspensions are buddies simply doing so to support their mates, or you could've looked at it objectively and actually read the concerns being raised and understood that there are actual reasons for people criticising, or at least questioning the decision.

Of course Trav, true to form, you went with the former...

If the people who are actually important care for your opinion, then sure, I might be in trouble. If I am then that's all good and well. Atleast Dauth isn't under any misconception that I think he is an alright bloke.

Another possible alternative is to stop smoking whatever it is you've got your hands on...?
False accusations of drug abuse ... tsk tsk. Would be good if you could keep to the facts rather than making up make believe stories of dragons, princess' and illicit drug use.

AFAIK Nikal(sp) was spended for a whole season and then given a life ban, so it has happened before. From what i read and been told this different situation interms of the reasons for the bans, something to do with supporting India over CW.
