Day 3
Dream day for New Zealand
There was stunned silence at the 'Gabba as New Zealand stormed into a match-winning position on the third day of the first Test against Australia.
Resuming on 258-7, New Zealand made it to 307 thanks to Vettori (48) and Mills (25). That left Australia with a first innings lead of 26, a lead that Jaques and Hayden quickly looked to add to. But just before the lunch break Mills struck, having Jaques caught at slip for 13.
