hmmm. it just seems to me that it's the kind of nickname that an aussie yob would give someone as a joke and have it taken out've total context by others.

context is always important. It is one thing to say that with his Aussie friends over a few cups of beer, quite another to say it in the subcontinent, which is one of the worst affected areas because of terrorism.

What's the subcontinent got to do with it? The only reason the comment was inappropriate was that it was made about a bearded Muslim.

That would be funny..............I'd love to see Boje come out and take HUGE offence and blow it up into something worse than if it was Amla

My tip is for Dean Jones to be filling a very high seat in the ICC as soon as one becomes available.. He ticks all the right boxes for mine, a real thinker..

It had nothing to do with this, just pointing out that some remark ("off the cuff" if u please) reg. terrorists in Australia may be taken as a bit of a joke, while the same thing in the subcontinent can become serious. Just a difference of culture and people who work cross culturally must really appreciate and make sure they dont do anything silly. In my company, if we get to go overseas, we spend a good month or two learning their culture, wat is acceptable and wat isn't etc... Why should it be diff. for commentators and players and umpires?
