Eh, I would atleast have Cummins ahead of Pollock and the bunch to follow

Why? Cummins averages too high outside Australia/south Africa imo, I think him vs Grum is fair
Cummins' record in those 2 places is really Great and he isn't necessarily poor anywhere really. Is pretty good in England, Great in Pakistan and goodish in India with everything considered

His mothers death affected his form on his last India tour imo so I don’t penalize him that much for its

that's the thing with Cummins, even in a bowling era, he is only good away from home, not great anywhere (get ****ed)

Trueman won his team a series against one of the strongest batting lineup ever on roads, he's fine.
Was mid there in the one before..... It's really hard to mark him a Great in either WI or Australia really. Cummins is better than he is in WI in England and is a legit Great in SA.

South Africa is probably on par with the New Zealand Trueman feasted on considering how weak their batting has been and how bowler friendly they are, even Siraj gets 6/15 here and iirc every SA pacer puts ATG numbers. Trueman in West Indies is pretty great bar two tests when he was 23 and ran into one of the strongest battings ever on actual roads. Regardless of that, I rate Trueman and Lillee more for the peer rating and impact on fast bowling while I simultaneously believe their away records having holes is more a result of less opportunities then of lack of skill. I see Trueman as a bit of a Steyn who never got his India.

Cummins series in SA was actually on flatter than usual SA pitches. Hazlewood struggled in that series and Philander struggled to take wickets apart from one innings.

He also had a great series in Pak on incredibly flat pitches.
