A couple of pontings straight hit sixers off the indian fast bowlers in the WC final were some of the biggest ive seen.Way into the second tier of the stands.

of course the game in the millenium stadium where he hit one that hit the roof was quite amazing, full toss though.

How many runs did he get (ie 1,2,3,4,5,6, or dead ball) for the shot?

would have given it a 1-2 extra meters at the most..

but that can be alot in some situations

I suppose Chris Cairns deserves a lot of mentions:

1 - World Cup 1999 at Sophia Gardens at Cardiff, where he Shane Warne into the River Taft (sp)

2 - Chris Cairns too mighty shots off Brett Lee in Wellington back in 2000

3 - Back in 2001 in New Zealand's warm-up to the VB Series, New Zealand played Australia 'A' at the 'Gabba, and he hit a Darren Lehmann onto the roof of the old Brisbane Lions club house, or over it. That was a mighty hit.

Probably not the biggest hit, but certainly the strangest - Lou Vincent pulling/hooking a Makhaya Ntini head bouncer over mid on/mid wicket for six at the SCG in Game 2 of the VB Finals.
