Big Bash League 2014/15

Crazy Sam

International 12th Man

Heat players to cut:
McDermott, Buchanan, Duffield, Watson, Johnson, Vettori, Milenko, Floros, Parry

Duffield and Floros are probably first season of multiseason contracts unfortunately. With Hopes likely to retire they'll probably retain Christian too.

Not sure that he can play but BBL must get Fred back next year in some capacity........he has made the comp this year.

Yeah, Fred has locked himself in for good cash coming out to commentate for a couple of months.

The reverse Richie Benaud.

Just waiting for the Thunder V Stars game to start - hope it's a good one as it's my girl's first ever time at a real cricket match.

Fred's joke there was better than Ponting's 'interview'

"How about KP for the jungle? He can sell some books there. Tell some giraffes why he isn't playing for England"

Thunder hit a boundary, the second for the innings in the 13th over, Blizzard with a huge smile and a fist pump. **** the haters/Darren Berry, Blizzard is great

When the highlights of the innings were KP's dropped catch and the keeper copping one in the face then it's a pretty dismal effort with the bat. Bird bowled well though.

this lalor catch is confusing. i thought it was not out because he didn't step back into play before the completed the catch, but i'm not sure about that, and then he actually juggled it so the first touch happened before his feet came into play but he completed the catch after his feet came back into play. it was given out but i have no idea if that's correct

wtf how is that out? He touched the ball while he was in the air and the last place his feet were was over the rope. It's not a difficult decision, it was obviously six. Mind = blown.

The ****ing batsman shouldn't have to try to explain the rules to the ****ing umpires what an absolute joke.

Another blowout today, and people have the nerve to suggest this is the best domestic t20 competition in the world.

Its marketed quite well, but the quality isn't anywhere near the standard we see in the IPL, heck it isn't much better than the Natwest Blast. To many washed up hacks who should piss off back to 2007 stealing a living.

Hopefully the knock out games are an improvement than what we have seen this week especially.

Happens every year as the wickets wear, and the ODIs come in and break up the rhythm of the tournament.
