Maxwells 22 fours last night has to be a t20 record surely. How do you get 150 and only hit 4 sixes
Yes, only other player who got such big scores is Gayle and he always did it through sixes. So, this should be a record for fours for sure.

Barring Steve Smith from playing because of "competition integrity" after forcing all the teams to play through massive Covid outbreaks and with sides full of grade cricketers would be peak CA brain.

270+ and now 70-odd runs already tonight - Hurricanes bowlers aren't enjoying the MCG too much this week.

I guess the rule is one has to properly ground the ball for it to be four, because there is no obvious distinction in the rulebook between what happened there and parrying the ball over the rope while standing (six).

They've actually ended up pulling it back reasonably well after that opening partnership.

Handscomb's T20 ton is one of the great oddities right. Five 50's in his other 96 T20 innings and that one freak ton

Handscomb's technique is definitely set up to play the strike-rotater role; can manipulate the fields since he never really closes himself off to one side of the ground (since he never plays off the front foot) so it doesn't surprise me that he doesn't have a lot of huge scores as a result. His average (23) is surprisingly bad though when that style of player, e.g. Jono Wells, tend to get a lot of not outs.
