Big Bash League 11 2021/22

Pretty decent - The Big Bash League continued the sport on Seven with 769,000 tuning in as the Sydney Sixers easily handled the Melbourne Stars.

Thumping win for the Heat there. Good innings by Heazlett but it was the bowling performance that won it for them.

Is Alex Ross a chance of making the Australia T20 side in the near future? Guy can seriously strike a cricket ball and technically looks pretty decent imo

If does seem like the selectors are somewhat averse to picking guys not connected to a state side, even if they have been strong in the big bash. So I probably doubt it in the short term at least. But if he can remain consistent in his middle order role then it is distinctly possible

I must say I didn't see this coming from Ross, his form for Kensington in first grade wasn't too flash until he made 109 in the last game pre Big Bash, and even then that was against a seriously underwhelming (even by Adelaide grade standards) Southern Districts attack.

Ross had been mediocre but acceptable for a long time, don't where this great start to the comp has come from. Never seen him in such good form. Could just be a fluke I guess but either way he's a long, long way away from National selection lol

Meanwhile McKenzie Harvey seems to actually be making some progress, though still lacks a bit of striking power for T20s IMO. So much similarities to Phil Hughes in his batting style it's uncanny

Paris would have been so much if he wasn't a walking calf tear. Swings it from a left arm angle at 130+ and a genuinly class batsmen.

Power surge in the 11 with Evans only having faced 11 is interesting. Not much batting to come after agar.

Can't see him playing much at the next level tbh unless a **** load of injuries/resting. Behrendorff on the other hand, really wasted talent.

Ya think so? Has a great list-A and first class record despite the consistent injuries. Berenorf was great aswell.

This over should have gone to Ellis. Over 19 is genuinly the most important death over in these 20 over games and a part timer is gonna end up bowling it.

Yeah always thought Behrendorff was the better bowler. Paris' batting has been a real surprise last couple of years though

Ross needed a good season last season. would have been 3 good seasons in a row. but he didn't really do much and Wells got attention instead
