Best timers of the ball you have seen

Mark Waugh was definately one that could make a shot look effortless...of late though, VVS Laxman....an awesome player and sweet timer

Funny how some batsmen can give a misleading impression of better timing than others.
I don't think there's a massive difference between most top-level batsmen.

Yeah I probably agree with that.

Wristy players tend to give the impression that they time the ball better but it's not always the case.

Alot of people say Gilhrist is a great timer of the ball but I think most of it is just brute batspeed and powerfull arm's. He does not need to middle the ball but if it's close enough it will still look like he has middled it.

Damien Martyn's timing is magical - think back foot cover drive Adelaide 2001 during is 124* off Shaun Pollock when in the 30s, still the best shot I've ever seen, Bill Lawry said it WAS the best shot you could ever see.

I was just thinking why we all didnt mention Bevan. The guy hardly ever uses power. The way he plays the onde day game is amazing.

Your right there.

Michael Bevan has this great ability to work the ball through the gaps for effortless one or two runs.
Also don't forget that Bevan is so quick running between the wickets that a shot that should be one run ends up being two runs.

Bevan is a great player for the one day game.

Bevan's abnormally good at placement rather than timing.
He is above most others in that respect.
