Best T20 Batman and Bowler?

Jono

Virat Kohli (c)
Are we taking into account T20 internationals?Malinga as a bowler but Gul has done more on the international stage.

As a batsman, tough. Again if we're taking into account internationals it probably changes things. Domestically you'd think Marsh has a fair shout.

For a batsman, KP averages 36 at 143 s/r, for all his 50 over problems, he has done the business for England in the T20 stuff. Some one mentioned AB but he only averages 23 at 123 s/r. Pollard hasn't done it internationally, averages 12 at a s/r 124, even taking into account he comes in for the final 5 to 7 overs that's pretty poor.

KP actually a really good call. It's the only format where he hasn't slipped up, he's still been performing when it counts and his numbers are cracking.

Jayawardene worth a mention. Opens, strikes at ~140, has been a star in the domestic stuff and the world T20. BMac's got the most runs and the most hundreds.

As for the bowling, I'd have to go with Umar Gul. Looking up the stats throws up a few weird results - Afridi has more T20 wickets than anyone and the best average/economy record by miles belongs to Andre Botha.

Got to be Gul! Single handedly bowled Pakistan to victory in T20 semi final 2009 against SAF! Remember him bowling yorkers on demand against a strong SAF line up and they just couldnt get him away. It's all well and good taking cheap wickets but bowling dot balls when the slog is on in a pressure situation seperates the good from the great!!!

Current form on bowlers i would have to pick malinga, that ability to fire in a yorker at will can only be a good thing for your team. Just ask any one of the in form Batsman he has dismissed

Shaun Marsh as the batsmen. An average of 45 and a strike rate of 137. Yes, that's right read it again. I would say Malinga would be the go to guy with the ball.

He hasn't done it at international level though.

I think it is impossible to pick at T20 level. Sloggers are just as useful as genuine batsmen. More so sometimes.

Mainly because the Australian selectors are nuts lol but yeah, i think with all due respect to the likes of Tendulkar/Kallis a 115 SR is not good enough in a t20 if you face as many balls as they do during the innings.
