yeah afridi is definetly the biggest six hitter. i remember in the england vs rest of world match at the millenium indoor stadium he was the only guy to hit the roof of the stadium and get 12 runs

im surprised abdur razzaq is not in any of those lists...he can hit the ball a long way too

two of the biggest sixes i have seen are from, ross taylor - he is the only player to have ever hit a ball onto the R.A.Vance stand at the Basin Reserve. and shane bond last year against india at eden park. he blasted something like 36 of 15. including one that went out of the park

When you combine how prolific he has been, with how few runs he has scored in comparison to the other players up there, I think it would be fair to see that Cairns is the greatest six hitter in test cricket history.

I saw Kapil Dev hit one of the biggest sixes ever. It was at the Gabba and he hit over the stand and into Stanley street. It was massive.

They can all launch a ball a country mile when needed.

15.08 % of Cairns' runs have been in sixes.
Fred Trueman alone has it at 15.29%. I think it would be fair to say that you would be incorrect.

And Holding's is far in excess of that!

Cairn's is a big hitter, but the game has become much more batsman orientated, just look at the current players in that list.
